Man killed in Awantipora mishap | KNO

Srinagar, May 25 (KNO) : A man died on Saturday in a road traffic accident near Dangerpora on NHW in Awantipora. At about 1410 hours, a speeding Scorpio vehicle hit one person identified as Abdul Majid Mir (aged about 45 years) son of Wali Mohammad resident of Dangerpora, Awantipora. In this accident, he sustained injuries and later succumbed, police told KNO. Police has registered a case under relevant sections of law in the instant matter. The driver along with the Scorpio vehicle fled away from the spot. Police is making efforts to track the Scorpio vehicle and the driver. Body of the deceased will be handed over to the family members after completion of medico-legal formalities.(KNO)
